CNB Helps the Red CrossDate: Jun 19, 08 CANANDAIGUA, NY: In an unprecedented partnership, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust has teamed up with Greater Rochester Chapter of the American Red Cross Chapters to “Go Green”.
Members of the public are invited to recycle their old cell phones, PDA’s, ink jet and laser cartridges and printers at their local Canandaigua National Bank & Trust. CNB has 22 community bank branches throughout Monroe and Ontario County. See the link Branch Offices and ATMs to the left for locations. A portion of the proceeds from the recycling will go back to the local Red Cross Chapter.
"This 'Go Green' effort provides our bank customers and employees with a convenient means of recycling that also results in the creation of needed funding for local American Red Cross disaster relief operations,” said Steve Martin, Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing at CNB.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone involved,” said John Buttrill, CEO of the Greater Rochester Chapter of the Red Cross. “We’re excited to have CNB onboard and participate in this incredible venture. It truly is a great benefit to help the environment and support the Rochester community through the Red Cross.”
Rochester, NY-based recycling company “Imagine It: Fundraising through Recycling”, has been busy delivering special cardboard recycling receptacles to all Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Branches.
