CNB Participates in ABA's 'Get Smart About Credit Day' 2007

Employees of Canandaigua National Bank & Trust taught students at more than 13 local schools on October 18th, the do's and don'ts of credit to mark National Get Smart About Credit Day, a financial literacy program sponsored by the American Bankers Association Education Foundation.

There were many presentations being made by bankers across the country as part of a nationwide effort to help young people take charge of their personal finances. However, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust was the only bank in the region to participate; emphasizing its commitment to the communities it serves.

Credit day lesson topics varied, ranging from Identity Theft to Budgeting. Participating high school students received handouts in addition to information to share with their parents. CNB colleagues reached a projected 350 area students through this effort.
