CNB Participates in Get Smart About Credit Day

Canandaigua, NY, October 16, 2009: Canandaigua National Bank & Trust participated in this year’s American Bankers Association’s Get Smart About Credit Day program on October 15^th. This program, established to provide financial knowledge and to educate America’s young adult consumers on the importance of establishing good credit, has reached millions of students ranging from middle school to high school. 

Acknowledging the significance of educating every age group of consumers, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust has participated in ABA’s Get Smart About Credit Day for several consecutive years. A group of CNB employees will educate hundreds local students on account management, credit reports, and identity theft. These skills, provided by CNB’s community financial experts, are intended to benefit students by encouraging financial stability and success no matter the age.
