CNB Enhanced Security Setup Information

Miniumum Requirement: Set up your three Security Questions and corresponding answers (instructions below).

Recommended: To enable faster logins, register any "trusted" computers that you'll regularly be using for online banking. If you choose to register a computer at a later date, you can do so during online banking signon.

First Time Setup

Defining your security questions

In this step you will create the Security Questions necessary to begin using your Enhanced Security Login.

  1. Log into CNB Online Banking from the home page or from the Online Banking login page.
  2. You'll be taken to the "Authentication Factor Set-up Process" page.
  3. You'll need to select or create three security questions, and fill in the appropriate answers.
    • If you would like to create your own questions, examples might be: "Your favorite food," "Name of the street you grew up on," "Your favorite movie," etc.
  4. Enter your e-mail address in the provided field.

  6. IF you are on a trusted computer, and one that you access CNB Online Banking from frequently, then it is recommended that you check "Enable this computer with my Digital Certificate for future secure and convenient online banking."

    This will make your subsequent logins faster, avoiding the need to answer a security question each time.

    A note will display with instructions related to warnings that you'll see from your browser.

    Select "Continue" and then follow the tutorial instructions for registering a computer.

IF you are on a non-trusted computer, one that you do not fully control the access to, leave "Enable this computer with my Digital Certificate for future secure and convenient online banking." unchecked and select "Continue with authentication process." Your Security Questions setup is complete.
