Online Banking is a safe, secure, and convenient tool to view account information, transfer funds, and more. Did you know that Online Banking can also play a role in managing the security of your accounts? Learn more about the Security Alerts options available within Online Banking.

Security Alerts

At a minimum, all online banking users will receive an alert in the event that: (1) your secure access code contact information is changed and/or (2) when your security alert preferences are changed. In addition, there are several optional security alerts that you can elect to turn on, including:

  • When your password or login ID is changed
  • When forgot password is attempted for your login ID
  • When an invalid password for your login ID is submitted
     
  • When an invalid secure access code is submitted
  • When your user profile is updated
  • When your user login is locked out  
  • When your password or login ID is changed
  • When forgot password is attempted for your login ID
  • When an invalid password for your login ID is submitted
  • When an invalid secure access code is submitted
  • When your user profile is updated
  • When your user login is locked out

Debit Card Alert Options

Now you can receive notifications and set controls on where, when, and how your debit card is used through CNB's Manage My Debit Card. To access these alert options navigate to Debit Card > Manage My Debit Card in the Online Banking menu. From there, choose Manage Card > Controls & Alerts.

To access the Alert Options menu, simply go to Preferences > Alert Options from the left hand menu. From there you can view your security alerts, turn on additional alerts, or select + New Alert to set up new alerts.


Delivery Preferences

Alerts are always delivered to your Online Banking Secure Message Inbox, but these can also be delivered through additional methods as requested by the user including email, phone, and text. When an alert is triggered, the alert is sent to all the configured delivery methods as identified by the user. It is always recommended that you have at least two delivery options available.

To review and/or add more additional delivery method options, select the Edit Delivery Preferences link from the Security Alerts section.
